Karen Locker, LCSW

Karen Locker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Supervisor. She studied at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and obtained her master’s degree at Bryn Mawr Graduate School for Social Work and Social Research in Bryn Mawr, PA. She specializes in providing for couples and families, as well as children ages 12 & up and adults, with various mental health issues. She provides services to those with depression, anxiety, anger, attention, obsessive and substance use disorders. Karen has been working in the mental health field for 25 years and has treated patients in a plethora of settings and at various levels of care including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient and Substance Disorder/Addiction programs. She has been a Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director of both Substance Disorder and Mental Health Programs as well as an Outpatient practitioner. Karen uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. Her approach is strengths based and focuses on mindfulness to affect change in the present and increase awareness of how thoughts and beliefs guide our behaviors.
