Thais Rodrigues, LSW

Hello! My name is Thais, and I am a licensed social worker committed to providing compassionate and individualized care to each of my clients. I am bilingual in English and Portuguese. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Chester University and a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, where I also earned a Certificate in Interpersonal Violence and Trauma.

I have experience working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including autism, ADHD, depression. I also have experience working in perinatal mental health, providing support to individuals during the life-changing period of pregnancy and postpartum. My clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I believe that therapy should be flexible and tailored—each person is unique, and I strive to integrate different techniques to meet the specific needs and goals of each client.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a background in research on harm reduction and have provided education on the risks of substance use during the perinatal period. Above all, I value empathy and genuine connection. I see my role as a facilitator in your therapeutic journey—here to support, guide, and empower you as you set your own goals and define your path forward.
