Alexandra Perez, APN
Alexandra Perez is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Advance Nurse Practitioner (APN) with a wealth of experience in providing comprehensive mental health care, particularly for women. She specializes in supporting individuals struggling with a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorder. Alexandra’s nursing career began in 2017 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her journey in an inpatient psychiatric facility, where she worked as a registered nurse (RN) with dual diagnosis patients—individuals facing both mental health and substance use disorders. This early experience gave Alexandra invaluable insight into the unique needs of this vulnerable population and laid the foundation for her ongoing commitment to mental health nursing.
After gaining substantial experience in the psychiatric field, Alexandra transitioned into the emergency room, where she worked as an emergency room RN during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This challenging time brought new demands and urgency to her role, yet Alexandra continued to work closely with psychiatric patients, as the hospital featured an acute psychiatric holding room for those in need of immediate psychiatric care. This experience further sharpened her ability to manage high-pressure situations and provide critical support to patients in crisis.
With an unwavering dedication to advancing her education and expertise, Alexandra went on to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health at Drexel University. She graduated with her APN credentials, solidifying her role as an advanced practice nurse and expanding her capacity to offer specialized care.
Today, as a Psychiatric Advance Nurse Practitioner, Alexandra is committed to providing empathetic, evidence-based care to those facing mental health challenges. She remains passionate about addressing the intersection of substance abuse and mental health, always advocating for her patients and working tirelessly to help them navigate their paths to a happier life.
