Rachel Quinn

My name is Rachel Quinn. I am experienced working with children, teens, and young adults ages 5 to early twenties, although there is no hard cap on my clientele. I’ve worked with youth with diagnoses such as autism, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), ADHD, youth who have experienced trauma, and more. Additionally, I have experience with queer youth and youth with foster care involvement. My job is to listen, support, and challenge you to meet your goals and no one else’s. I love questions, feedback, and being human with you as we work through the tough stuff. Parents and caretakers, therapy works best when we work as a team, so I intend to work and learn with you as well!

A little about my practice! I work using a combination of a few frameworks:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is focused on helping the client accept thoughts and feelings without judgment while striving towards healing.
  • Play therapy, which allows the client alternative ways to communicate beyond the verbal. For children, play is their true language!
  • Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the gold-standard structured trauma-focused therapy for children and teens. It is proven to reduce trauma symptoms in ages 5-17. If you are interested in this course of treatment, we can discuss more in the intake to determine if it is the right fit for you or your youth.
